About Andrew
Andrew Corbyn Thompson has been writing songs since he was 13
years old, about the same time he became a Christian.
Since then, he has written hundreds and songs and had the
opportunity to record numerous albums and more importantly, share
the songs God has placed on his heart with thousands of people.
His music shows his broad musical influences, from his classical
training and appreciation of the classic hymns of the faith to
his love for the catchy, fun melodies of pop and contemporary
praise choruses. His favorite artists include Bryan Duncan,
Charlie Peacock and Graham Kendrick. Speaking on what he loves
about performing Christian music he says, "When I was playing
secular music in the garage bands I was in during High School,
the greatest complement I could ever be given was, "I enjoy
your music"--there was no higher goal then entertaining someone.
But, since my life and your music have been in submission to Christ,
it's a far different thing. For now, some have even said, "God
used your music to change my life." When you compare the
significance of the two "goals" there's no way I could want to do
anything else but serve God with the talents He's given me."
Andrew served as the Director of Music and Youth at Wiley Heights
Covenant Church in Yakima, Washington from 1993- 2000 before leaving
to complete a Master's of Divinity degree at North Park Seminary, Chicago.
